Re: Project: Garage Find
The coil is rubber mounted, so the mount doesn't form a connection with the frame so not sure if it has to find earth here? As for the engine wouldn't the bolts through to the frame be enough?

Re: Project: Garage Find
I used to have the BT45 on my cb1-400, I found them more than capable and never had any scary moments with them.
As for the powder coating, looks brilliant!

Re: Project: Garage Find
When I first got the bike and made my initial assessment of it I knew the loom might be an issue so I bought a used but working replacement. I've just dug it out the garage to clean it up ready, took one look at it and decided that pile of junk isn't going on my bike.
So what to do? I could try and repair the original loom and possibly salvage and splice in some of the spare loom where required. Or I could try and find a better condition replacement, or I could be really lucky and find a new one (I can dream). I've got a few weeks before it will be needed but at the moment I'm not very happy. |

Re: Project: Garage Find
Pilots are great - but won't be found in the sizes needed for an older machine such as the one in question.
