Nah not with standard-ish pipe.

By deck the exhaust I mean because your chassis is so low ... it may be possible to scrape the exhaust on the floor while cornering. Be fun to find out anyway!

For an experienced rider, no doubt, but somebody with not a lot of confidence or riding experience I reckon it'd be pretty scarey.

Oh duh! I;m with ya! What is the worse that could happen if i do that? i don't mean over and over again just the once for me to see if its ok?

But like i said it the rear wheel clearance that is the issue at the minute!

Yeah but you'd have to be trying pretty hard.

Still have more ground clearance than most tractors and over-chromed pieces of $hit like that anyway.

well you could take the exhaust off by interface with tarmac, thats not going to be funny. They aren't meant to scrape on the road

Pretty shower of sparks, or it jacks the back tyre off the deck and pogos you across the road ... which can be "interesting".

Or just don't go for such serious lean angles, you'll soon get a feel for how far you can lean it. If it's decking out everywhere then get your rse slid off to the side of the seat and try to kiss the wingmirror.

You'd have to be scraping it a LOT to do any harm except for some scuffing.

Or it might not be a problem, and you'll batter the collector box off the floor on every speed-bump like some chavved nova lol.

I have owned a sv650 sport and it is definitely a lot heavier than the Ninja 250. Try it again and see how you feel. You have sat on one before but now it might feel different. You could strike up a deal in changing/part exchanging as the Ninja 250 is cheaper than an sv new anyway.

Ultimately the choice is yours. Everyone else can only advise you.

Lift the rear wheel off the ground and crash.

You've got enough to worry about if you're new to riding, whether the bike is safe to ride is not a worry you want to add to that list.

As I said before, get someone who knows what they're doing to lower it to a safe and practical limit, and then decide for yourself if you can work around that after a bit of practice. Maybe get down the gym doing squats and such in the mean time so that one leg is well up to the task
