I think the bottom line is that democratic governments are more often than not a refection of the people, NOT the other way around.

Before blaming the government, perhaps we should look at ourselves.

The U.K. will change it's stance completely on asylum seekers. It will not be a destination that accepts "refugees" in any circumstances. Let other countries take alead on this particular issue for once.

Illegal immigration will be dealt with strongly. Anyone found to be in the U.K. falsely will be deported along with their immediate family,(whether their immediate family are here legally or not)

Anyone found creating falso documentation will also be deported. If they are a "legal" immigrant then their citizens' rights will be removed and they and their families will be deported.

Any other person found guilty of this offence will receive a minimum jail term of 10 years with all assets seized.

This board must be a reasonable reflection of the population.

If so, frankly it's depressing to think that so many have such views. A good reason in itself to bugger off someplace else.

Agreed. Alot of the ill informed bigoted remarks are the reason the country has gone down the pan in the first place.

Ed I think it shows in this post that people are finally getting at the end of their teather with the UK and the way we get treated.

Pedrosa has managed to put more eliquently into words what most people would like to see. I think guessing on the ammount of people on here that realise something needs to be done.

If Pedrosa's policies were concidered and addopted by any of the partys we have in the UK i would 100% vote for them. The suggested policies are not rasist nor un fair to anyone nor do they take away any human rights. I concider them to be sensible steps to make the UK a beter place to be.

It really is a shame that they are just pipe dreams of me and a few others on this forum.

We get treated? By who? Our own people that's who.

The british population aren't becoming rude unhelpful and intollerant because of immigration or because of what the government are doing, it's because the British population ARE rude unhelpful and intollerant. Certain peoples posts on this thread demonstraight this clearly. People need to stop looking for someone else to blame.

Filipe, you dissapoint me! I've just sat & read all this thread, and I didn't see any popcorn!!

As for leaving the country, I want to, but I'll only do it when I know I can support my family properly whilst we're all over there, wherever "there" may be.
