Re: F1 Racing Thread
The end of the race was exciting as one driver was racing his car without the need to look after his tyres. What a difference compared to the tyre management of the cars up front.
I found the race really heavy going as realistically most of the action would've have been at the tail end. There seems to be a lack of sophistication in the race commentary on the BBC with little realtime analysis of how changes will effect the final result.

In many forms of Motorsport the fastest car / bike / rider / drivers get to the front in qualifying and the continue to lead to the end. This is what would happen in F1 if the tyres were made to easily last the race distance.

Re: F1 Racing Thread
Not sure I'd fancy slipstreaming a car which emits Kawasaki green excrement as a way of seeing what the aerodynamics do in real life.
The results of that exercise are also somewhat visible to the rest of the paddock!

Re: F1 Racing Thread
So, what will happen this weekend?
Will Lewis Hamilton become a 2 time World Champion or will Nico Rosberg win his 1st world title? Also is this the last time we'll see Jenson Button in an F1 car?

Re: F1 Racing Thread
hamilton not looking his cheerful self and missing family support this weekend at his possible triumph. If I were a cynic I'd expect a merc engine to pack and rosberg to limp in to win the wdc.
Realistically the wdc is hamiltons to lose. I dont mind either winning as long as its a fair fight in the race. I think JB will carry on in 2015 and leave in 2016 with Kmag stepping up from 3rd driver / test driver. Can mclaren handle the pr fallout in this new venture.
