Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
Waze!
So, I use Waze - for two good reasons: 1) it has motorbike-specific traffic, so will not take you down little back roads when you can filter instead, and 2) I keep my phone in my pocket, and it has really good voice instructions. Since my work moved its office to central London, the routes in and out vary massively, so I've not managed to learn any of them. I left work today, following instructions and Waze crashed. I didn't know this and carried on for a few minutes getting deep into traffic. Found a place to stop, took my (wet) gloves off, got my phone out and restarted Waze ... only for it to crash again a few minutes later. Total delay about 20 minutes. So frustrating - I don't want a handlebar mount, I just want something reliable. Is that too much to ask? |

No heating or hot water since Friday morning. Been waiting for the heating engineer to come but despite reporting it 3 times now he has failed to show up. Heating I can work round with an extra jersey, but some hot water would be good.

Annoying. There's only so much you can do with a kettle.

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
Heating/hot water sorted. Low pressure in the system caused by a small, unnoticed leak at a threaded pipe union on the kitchen rad.

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
Quick and simple fix. I bet you're glad the heating is working this morning.

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
To be honest Mike, I haven't bothered with the heating so far. This bungalow doesn't get all that cold, especially the front which faces south. I've just bunged an extra jumper on. It's a relief to have running hot water again though!

I'm going to take a spanner round the house later today, and check all the threaded joints on the system!
