Enjoyable morning this morning. Newtown Bark Life / Barkrun first, then marshalling for parkrun there, followed by coffee and cake at the very nice, dog friendly Cafe Glitz in Newtown.

Out for an early morning run this morning, with Mabel, and daughter Eleri. The first mile and a half is a hell of a climb and really knocks the overall average pace for six!

Newtown Bark Life / Barkrun this morning, and then marshalling for parkrun followed by coffee and chocolate cake.

I am now so close again to getting under the 8.00/mi!

With my dodgy ankle, I've been very reticent to run in groups as I don't want to have to bail in the middle of nowhere, but I got out today on an 8 mile run with the club. A beautiful day, and a lovely way to spend a Sunday morning.

That was a good distance, good man for getting out there. Great photo on Strava too!

First run for weeks on end and certainly the first one since moving into the new abode. Kept it short just to ease back in to things. I have some serious work to do to get my pace back up again!

Oops! Time for new shoes I think.

Just bought a pair of Altra Lone Peak 6 shoes for £85 delivered. The Lone Peak 5s in the picture lasted nearly 2 years so I had good use out of them.

Cool, muddy, but really enjoyable short, woodland run in lovely new shoes.

Very slippery on the wet leaves and the mud in places, but the new Lone Peak 6 shoes kept me upright.

This has been a pretty spectacular piece of woodland this autumn, and I suspect it's going to look pretty stunning in the spring.

This circuit of about 2½ miles is the start of a longer (currently 7 mile) route that I have been walking recently. The whole route is very hilly with fantastic views down Dyffryn Tanat in one direction and, in certain places, back over into Shropshire in the other direction. The intention is to find more trails and footpaths and expand the loop to around 10 miles as a run.

Lurcher, leaves, and Lone Peaks.

Another short canicross run with Mabel, on this lovely woodland route this morning. Pretty frosty out in the open but still quite muddy and slippery in the woods.

Who else is still getting out, or are you all sitting on your lardy @rses waiting for spring?

Well as it happens yes! Only because I too have been struck down with a stomach bug leaving me energyless.
