One of the Minoltas - the one for the new skin. I guess I'll need to remove the timer

Yeah, but which one? Usually they are held on with a screw.

Usually a screw but getting the cap off can be tricky. Odds are it just prises off but try googling if it's stuck.

I can't make out the embossed name, the seller sent me a close-up (he can't read it either, thinks it ends -lee, looks to start with an E). I mucked about with contrast etc. on that but it didn't make it any more legible. I spent ages with google-fu but still can't manage it from what I've got. Looks 1920s-30s so might just be a snapper or might be a bit more. If so then I'll keep it for interest, if not I'll check it out and (actually) sell it on. I don't know, it just called to me, like the Olympus, and the Certo.

It's the xd5.
Where do they usually hide the screw?

You need some needle nose tweezers to undo that. It may be left hand thread so be careful.

It's after I tinkered with it, but it's better than the original, I think

Can't help either. I tried internet image searches. That lens is on a few bellows cameras but none with a name that matches.
