Re: F1 Racing Thread
**SPOILER SPACE**
Today's race wasn't about domination - it was about annihilation !! Hamilton completely destroyed his rivals - along with many of his tabloid detractors. Ok, so he had a big dollop of help from Ferrari, but that still can't take anything away from the fact that his winning margin was 1m 8secs - 2/3rds of a lap for God's sake !! Big 'Yay' for Barrichello (and Ross Brawn - bet Ferrari wished he was still with them !!) to finish on the podium was a tremendous achievement. So, back to the big question of the day - How did Ferrari & their drivers manage to make such an enormous ****-up of the whole thing ? Massa - well I'm not even gonna go there !! Raikkonen - appeared to be doing well on a drying track, but lost out through poor tyre decision (his or the teams ?) - did well I thought to salvage 4th place in the end - wonder how he felt when Hamilton lapped him ??

Re: F1 Racing Thread
SPOILER SPACE TOO!!!
Yeah- fair play to Hamilton. He thoroughly deserved that win (though as usual, ITV got it wrong- not a foot out of place they said- quickly forgetting his trip across the lawn!!!- no crit on Lewis there, though). Massa- HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Another shining example of why he shouldn't be in the red car. At least he didn't run the hare over!! I'm gutted for Kubica. He was holding it together so well. And Jenson. |

Re: F1 Racing Thread
SPOILER SPACE
The fact that Lewis was lapping around 6 seconds quicker than the other drivers is surely a measure of the man, shame about the **** up with the fuel rig at Honda though good to see Rubens on the podium. Saw Lewis come from near last and finish 2nd in a GP2 race and thought then that he would probably be f1 world champ before he even turned a wheel in anger in the Mclaren, his time will definately come. |

Re: F1 Racing Thread
What is bad about it? I don't see why Silverstone should have the monopoly on it. GP races at Donnington and Brands have been exciting in the past. If Donny are willing to invest in the facilities, then good on them.

Re: F1 Racing Thread
I will wait & see for my final judgement but exiting the car park at Donington GP this year took us 2.5 hours, exiting at Silverstone on Sunday took 2 minutes, i was totally gobsmacked at how well organised it all was as i'd never been to the F1 before, toilets i went in were clean & fairly fresh smelling too as opposed to Doningtons stinking dungeons, i hope i am proved wrong as it will be a step in the right direction for british motorsports but i can't see how Donington are going to match what Silverstone have already acheived even with the £100,000,000.00 from the mystery backer.

Na mate, thought i'd leave the old chopper at home Sunday, we were parked in West 1 car park as it was the only one open at 3.00am when we got there, two minutes to get out of there & two minutes later we were on the A43 heading home. |

Re: F1 Racing Thread
Well, it seems to have been a bit quiet in here recently (I was away on holiday for Hockenheim) - so what are your predictions for tomorrows race ?
I'll stick my neck out and go for :- (1) Lewis Hamilton (2) Felipe Massa (3) Heikki Kovaleinen As the Hungaroring is a notoriously difficult track for overtaking i think that Lewis will pull away from the start and that Felipe will take Heikki as he's on the 'clean' side of the track - after that it will be a procession. But then again I could have it totally wrong !!

Re: F1 Racing Thread
I wouldn't say you were wrong, but I think Kubica can have a strong race and could well be on the podium at the expense of Massa/Kovaleinen if they hold each other up enough.
