OK, I have managed to chat with Nige who is one of the folk organising this day.
At the moment it still has to be confirmed but 6th September is about 99% sure of being the day. Cost will be £75-£80 and lnch will be provided. He is going to try and get the photographer from last year so a cd/dvd of pics will be available. He still has the application forms from last year and will e-mail everybody to see if they are interested. Once the date is confirmed and things are on the go he will give me the application forms for me to pass about. Unfortunately this year they are keeping it to road legal bikes so, no track bikes I am afraid. Noise limits will not be tested, as he has said, so long as it's road legal it shouldn't be "too excessive"..... Numbers will be limited to 60 due to insurance conditions but due to the short notice he doesn't see this being a problem. If you are interested get your application in asap (once they are handed out). Last year this was a great day and I feel confident in saying that all orgers who attended were more than satisfied with the day. So, in short, keep 6th September free, save up £80, get fuel money sorted (fuel station just outside the camp gates btw)...and have a great day. |
