well after being on diablo stradas i feel for a change for something more mileage on the rears without compromise of quality,

would any one know local tyre places in the midlands?

I just received storm ultra front.
Not sure whether it is just because it is not on a wheel yet but it looks more pointy than normal storm, which would be nice.

LP - got a letter from Cooper Tyres (Avon Parent co) this week - feedback was an apology that they did not meet my expectations, and a full ex-gratia refund.

No explanation as to what they think happened though.

The new one I had fitted as a replacement has been fine, with no signs of adverse wear - I'll see what damage I can do to them on GMIII over the next few days

Good to know Matt. Will compare notes up at the GMIII

Profile difference.

I know it is worn so not apples to apples, but hopefully these will tip in a bit quicker

to be honest as the Superduke (on ultra's) is so much sharper than the S4 (on original storms) it's hard to tell, but neither has that as a problem.

Cheers Mark.

Hard to compare tyres on bikes with different geometries.

The SV doesn't #need# the pointy profiles, but feeling just how bloody beautifully sharp it is on a viper extreme or a racetec front it's a real shame to calm it down so much with a rounded tyre.

Anyway, we see.

Couple of places, but where in the Midlands are you?

I tell you what I did notice, the ultras are the easiest tyre I have ever fitted. First bead went over the rim so easily I actually read the sidewall again to check they hadn't sent me a 120/70ZR18 instead

tis ok found a cheap place eventually at wheel house tyres (linked to bikers world)

and i must say from the sharpness comments i recently had a diablo front / strada rear and they do turn in and drop faster. Wether this was due to them being new and slippy i dont know, but after 80 miles of sweet riding i got used to it,

also they are bloody hot after compared to diablo haha
