Mine's in for a new rear tyre today, so I'm hoping for even just a bit of a dry run up the road tomorrow night to get it scrubbed in - can't say I'm relishing the idea of running a brand spanking new tyre in the p1$$ing rain!

+1 on that. Just got a new tyre fitted on tuesday but can't run it in yet as I am still waiting on calipers to turn up. Then I'll have the joy of running in a new back tyre and new front pads at the same time, I really hope there are some dry spells.

Considering this is the "rideout of the Stuartyboy" I should really be going along. I'm hopeful but can't promise I will be. Normally I can make any rideout but I have prior commitments for this weekend - but who knows. I'm leaving it till Friday to see if I can make it. Fingers crossed and also for the weather.

Saturday:

Spells of heavy rain across all parts, accompanied by gale or severe gale force south or southwest winds. Clearer, showery weather following later with winds veering northwest and easing.

Sunday:

Bright or sunny intervals and occasional showers, these falling as snow over the hills and perhaps at lower levels from later on Sunday. Brisk northwest winds. Feeling cold.

First one to drop out's a fanny baws!

See you all tomorrow .....

Predictably, looks like I'm that fanny baws Ralph

(the excuse: I ride all year in whatever, but it's the night away and no option but to ride the next day in whatever comes along, that's bothering me. Think the smart option- for me at least- is to chicken out, I push my luck enough as it is )

I'll use the osteoperosis excuse, that gets me off the hook every time!

Might still make it, but I think probably not.

I have no clue what that actually is, something to do with bones I think, but you're right, as an excuse it's absolutely bulletproof.

Alas.
