Dunno, but the SV1000 (not the S) has disappeared from the Suzuki GB website.

Suzuki will continue to make and sell both models of the SV1000, it's just that not all may be available in the UK. I've had some correspondance with the marketing director for Suzuki Australia and he states that there are absolutely no plans to drop it.

jsut thought i would add, that is a nice bike

The SV1000 naked was dropped in the UK last year, whether the same will go for the S version this coming year is, as yet, unsure. It could be that the emissions regs for the old TL engine are too hard to get around.

I'm pretty sure they're available in France and other European countries, and it wouldn't be too much of a hassle to import one (the warranty would still apply as you're in a European state).

True...I spoke to one of the dealers about this on wednesday and he stated the same... (although in the same breath he also said that they dont really like touching "european" bikes)

They don't have to like it, they just have to do it .

He's right you know you have to sign to say you dont want your soul before you ride a Gixxer away. I did get a good price for my soul though.
All this talk about souls ... souls are my nr 1 passion.

But, I would also like to see a rougher and meaner form of the sv1000 emerge, otherwise it would have to be a Tuono as the closest alternative.
