How about Teesside - Northallerton - Bedale - almost Masham - West Tanfield -Ripon, some stonking roads, especially if we take in the A172 along the bottom of the moors from Stokesley, sorry for adding another cook to the Broth! Will be in Ripon on time anyway bike permitting. But happy to tag along with anyone heading down from Teesside doing any route.

not sure if i can make it yet, involves convincing the gf to have a go on the bike! but either way, i'd be there early and know the day before

Tim, how about we meet in Yarm? If thats a problem, then Northallerton however we'll have to be precise about times as if we've gotta meet the Ripon lot at 10:30 then I suggest possibly 9:30 at Northallerton? I dunno if that would be too much time to get to Ripon or not (I guess about right) meaning that I could meet Richie about 9am at the a19 services

Either Yarm, or the services you're meeting Richie at would be fine (Presume the BP ones heading south just before the Tontine?). Northallerton - Ripon is about 35 mins by car, going the direct route but always best to allow some spare time...
