Hmm i think i was in year 4/5 in school. So about 9 or 10 years old. I remember a lot of fuss and the teachers talking to all the classes at once about it when it happened. Bloody terrorists. It was the ONE day that caused all the extreme security. Its amazing how much fuss it caused.
Although they are all extremely evil people involved in the plot, you have to admit it was very well thought out and executed.

I didn't know it was that complex I just thought it was me go on plane now ai ai ai boom. I've got a conspiracy theory dvd on it somewhere I never watched, soemthing about how the buildings collapsed as if it was an internal explosion and a flash underneath one of the planes.

In short, they terrorists had to become US citizens, trained how to fly commercial jets in the USA and then managed to use the kinves they took on board (maximum blade length of about 3 inches were ALLOWED on the plane) to kill a hostage and then used 4 others to forice down the pilots door.
The fourth plane was 'saved' by some of the passengers. They tried to overpower the terrorists, the pilot pannicked, shouted 'ALLAHH AKBAR' and crashed into a field. Everyone on the plane died, but if it was not for the brave passengers, the plane was headed to more populated areas where hundreds more could have died.
