Re: INTERESTING FACT OF THE DAY
Strikes me that's not the sort of fact that you want to give a source for

Re: INTERESTING FACT OF THE DAY
The whole crying-whilst-peeling-onions thing. An ex-girlfriend's grandma taught me how to peel onions so that you never cry, works to this day, so no need to chew gum as was posted a while back. Simply chop the top and the bottom root/sprout bits off first. Then make a shallow slice on one side of the onion anywhere you like from top to bottom, i.e. to form a line between the two bits you just cut off, peel off the outer brown skin and any layer of skin underneath that is starting to turn. Then chop the onion in half, again from top to bottom, put each half flat side down and chop down the lines of the onion as you see them from the outside of the skin. You'll get half rings as a result. Chop 'em anyway you want from there. I probably chop an onion a day and haven't cried, (whilst chopping onions), for about twenty odd years. FACT.
The other thing is the whole cows-lying-down-before-it-rains thing. It's cowsh*t. Many a time I've seen cows, whole herds of them standing in a downpour. Other times, they're sitting down in sunshine, with no hint of rain. I think they sit down when they want to because they feel like it or are generally tired or may want to read a book and need a hoof free, or whatever. I suppose technically a cow, at least in England, does sit down before it rains as it must rain at some point in the future, but that's not how the non-fact goes. Jacqui Smith is related to Royalty - FACT. Her dad was King Edward, well, "a" King Edward. Aw c'mon, you can't tell me that somewhere in her direct family history a potato wasn't involved somewhere? Look at her face! Look at the shape of her head! I'm not sure what the beastiality equivalent of messing about with vegetables is, (suggestions welcome), but either her Mum or her Dad definitely f****d a tatty at some point which means that one of them WAS a tatty...IMHO of course. |

Did you know that the Nidaros Cathedral West Front sculpture of Archangel Michael was based on Bob Dylan?

Re: INTERESTING FACT OF THE DAY
The earliest recorded case of a man giving up smoking was on April 5, 1679, when Johan Katsu, Sheriff of Turku, Finland, wrote in his diary "I quit smoking tobacco." He died one month later.
