Re: Vintage film cameras
It'd be worth a go Kenzie, the shear forces on the actuating pegs can be high if the user is particularly ham-fisted, and the tolerances are close - but I guess it could be finished by hand. What sort of thickness can a sheet be made?

Johnny, not looked into metal printing (laser sintering I think) but you would be talking down to microns. Sent from my Xperia T

Re: Vintage film cameras
Ah, I'd wondered how I'd seen these clickbait things about so-called 3D printed metal things. How thin can the plastic go?

The Hanimex looks awesome on the K1000

Re: Vintage film cameras
Having the 50mm SMC on there doesn't look right. Too small. Did you hear from your joblot man? Were we talking about the same one in Kiddeminster?

The Kidderminster one isn't for me but I'm watching in case it doesn't sell. There's a bit too much of the unknown in there.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Got the manual adapter for the OM10 through today. Amazed it didn't get broken as it was just in an envelope and no padding. Thought it better than buying another camera body just for shutter speed adjustment.

Re: Vintage film cameras
I'm hearing things, surely?
Got the Certo back in one piece, I need to adjust the focus though. Not sure how just yet, need to have another look. Also picked up two 24x16 canvas prints from 35mm - you may remember the dog lying on the floor, and one of my daughter in a furry hat and mittens. They haven't really lost any detail in the enlargement, plus of course they will be viewed from further away than a print. Pretty pleased with them (one is a present for my brother in law's wife), and they are scanned straight from the negative, no PP, no cropping. Both shot wide open f1.2 with my MX in quite low light, with fingers crossed they'd be bright enough. Which makes up for some of the dross from my last couple of rolls.... |

Re: Vintage film cameras
I was looking at getting an Olympus OM20 as it has shutter speed adjustment. But it's yet another slr body. Recleaning the focus on the Comet as the grease set solid and it got stuck.
