Re: Halal meat
They also create more demand for cheese which arguably gives cows a really cr4p life....made pregnant to produce milk and the calf killed if male...
So when a veggie goes on a meat eater rampage they need to think a little

Re: Halal meat
Don't know how true this is but was told that in some slaughter houses, pigs are led in through an area of gas(carbon dioxide?) which renders then into a slowed state,I imagine like Entinox does, they are then slaughtered anyone heard of this???

Re: Halal meat
How about this stuff - I suggested to Jambo who first spotted it that if it's from pigs who get to spend their entire lives getting drunk in the pub then they are slaughtered when they are already slaughtered it may not be so bad on the animal welfare front.

Maybe a hypoxic environment rather than co2? Hard to control and dangerous for the staff.

Didn't they used to make asthma sufferers breathe into a paper bag to increase their CO2 levels and calm them down? |
