For those wanting to learn the lines a bit, here is some high quality on board footage I found (was looking for something else and stumbles on it ).

It's some random dude on a GSXR750.

It is also 113mb ... so only bother if you have a fast connection!!

Cool, nice to have some company!!

Re van - check out the track day thread in the Soho Massive section, as a couple of others were interested in hiring one

Random question seeing as I am not actually participating but...

I have 25 years of road riding experience. I have never ever been on a track before. Which group would people suggest I go in if I were taking part

Novice! As you are a (TD) novice!

I personally think Paws and her fella were .... lets be nice ... 'Ill informed' putting HIM in Inters to start off with on his first trackday ... I also think the TD company were really bad for allowing them to do so (however if it was booked online I guess there was no way of checking!?? ).

EVERYONE should start off in Novice, if after the first session (or two) they outgrow the group, then fair enough, they can ask to be moved (or will be asked to move); there is absolutely no problem with people doing this.

Just coz someone has been road riding for years and years or their pub mates say they are quick is not reason enough to think they should not START in Novice ....

Anyway off me now!

That's exactly what I was thinking. Do they issue flashing lights to go on top of the helmets for total f***wits as well Think I might ask for one of those as well. (If I ever get out on a track)

Can I have a flashing light please?! I agree with that too. I think the trackday organisers need to pay a bit more attention to the level of people in the various groups too.

Some of the companies recommend that the particularly new/nervous wear a yellow jacket (which they lend out FOC) - they are to be used in the same manner as L-plates ...

Neat idea!

He he. They certainly do. I've worn one for most of mine! Great footage Blue. Terrible soundtrack though. Can you PM me what gear was used for that video if you know?
