Well done H and GG for stepping up and volunteering. You've clearly put a lot of time and effort into the planning already. The place and all the bits sound great!
My little point though, and it only affects a few of us, is that the DATE of the AR is as important to me as the location and venue. I can't book any time I like off work unfortunately. I agree that a date for people to express and interest and a follow up deadline to post up fairly fully formed plans, is pretty essential. But from experience I do think the motto for any AR organiser is 'You can't please all the people, all the time'

Wales sounds like fun. Mind you anywhere could be fun. I've complained in the past about locations, but after this years marvellous event, next years will have to be set higher still
