On the subject of signs, we put them a mile out in both possible directions and people managed to hoon past - I blame them not having decent brakes at that range

All four ways into West Meon end at a traffic light controlled crossroads. The camp site/pub is on one corner of said crossroads.

How far off the A31?

It's inbetween them. The bit that used to be the A31 before they put the motorway there.

I could easily meet you anywhere round alresford/Winchester though.
