This is my stomping ground we are looking at - I grew up in Watton - give me a couple of days and I will sort the route out

The road from the a47 near narborough to gayton then along to the A1065 is a decent stretch. especially from Gayton to the A1065 its about 8 miles of sweeping bends and straights i'd imagine been able to average 3 figure speeds along that nice stretch

To be honest I looked at the routes you picked out and any of them would be ok - there arent that many good roads up to Hunstanton - going via Watton, Dereham and Fakenham is probably best.

I went from Hunstanton to Sheringham last week and thought the A149 was pretty good, I think it was the 149 anyway

That section of it isn't tooo bad - wouldn't recommend going any further round than Sheringham though.

![]() ![]() ![]() http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&so...,0.038581&z=15 If we are going with Plan B route then I've done a bit more work on it. Looking at the street view of the A47 it does look a bit boring but it does link to a Tesco Express fuel stop which is 80 miles into the rideout. Plus there is a Lidl directly oppisite if the street view is anything to go by. So if we need a quick break or someone needs something they can get it. ![]() The last thing I'm a bit unsure about is where to park in Sheringham. Is there a biker specific spot? I browsed around on street view and found what looks to be a free car park right at the beach. If there's a better place let me know. ![]() |
