Not sure I understand the issues some people have with you clocking drivers inattention.
I often filter down the M1 around the 70mph mark or through London at 30 and can spot at a glance drivers on the phone, eating, writting bloody emails on their blackberries!!! *rage* without it effecting my ability to look out for myself.

That said the few times I've been airsofting so I've been riding in a Tactical vest with a rifle case strapped to my back on a huge black tourer I've found a lot of people suddenly start paying attention and get off their phones =p.
Had one ned who shot out a side road in his chav mobile dump his hamburger and drink into his own lap when he saw he was cutting me up and did a double take, that made me smile

Hahahahahaha!!!!!! How many people can get themselves how worked up, sat down with a cuppa!

I sympathise with the O.P. I once kindly moved over to let a berk who was tailgating me overtake, so see him bullying his way past everyone else. So I followed him. For about 10 miles. Half the time well past a ton. I then realised I'd been somewhat foolish and left it. Waste of a good ride.

Most people who block you, cut you up or pull out aren't malicious, they have made a mistake. So next time you overtake and have to dive back in sharpish, think "what have I just done" and accept mistakes happen.

I think those people who think "I'm an excellent driver" are the dangerous ones.

I want to kill the complete t*$$er in the white Ford Kuga the other day who sped up as I was overtaking him and then sat in my blind spot for about a mile before undertaking me.

I went out on my DRZ yesterday for an hour, came to a set of traffic lights where they merge into 1 lane after about 100 yards of pulling off.
A c0ck in a renault megane thought he would try and bully his way in front by flooring it off the lights, so im let him have it but the clutch is quite sharp on it, not very progressive, there nothing, nothing then full drive, i give it some as letting the clutch out and got the front end in the air !!!
Didnt think my first wheelie would be on the DRZ
The bloke must have shat himself cos he backed off after that.

No rage involved really but thought i'd share.

..... I haven't got mad this week .... but I have got even

Twice this week I have seen the worst driving I have seen for some time .... far far too fast and aggressive for the roads .....in a brand new Audi A5 ... anyway this morning I pulled up to the guy at the lights, and noticed he was wearing a local Audi dealers sweat-shirt ..... fool !!

A few quick emails to the dealer this morning, resulted in this ...

Dear Mr ******

Thank you for the information. I have been able to immediately identify the person in the car because the email address you used is one that self distributes to quite a number of staff to ensure a response. One of them was the driver. He and I have talked and discussed your concerns and I don’t believe that you will have cause to write again. Whilst he inevitably has a different view of his driving on the 2 occasions, he understood the importance of upholding the standards that we would expect and the very fact that he read the email gave him cause to reassess his driving style.

Best regards

Brilliant, and no wing mirrors were harmed in the making of this email.

I witnessed a particular poor example of driving quite recently by a chap in a van. He had his mobile number on the back of the vehicle so I rang it. The conversation went something like this......

"Hello, do you always change lanes like that without looking behind you"

"What you on about, nothing wrong with the way I drive"

"Oh right, and I don't suppose you answer the phone when driving either"

"What are you, a copper or something"

"That's right, if you use your mirrors you'll see me behind you"

Obviously we finished the conversation face to face on the hard shoulder, I didn't have the nerve to do him for the mobile phone offence though.....
