Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
Entire family have caught this one Mav, including my parents, brother and his kids and oldest sister and her kids too. Im totally knackered and from now on any visiting family members will be virus tested in the street before they get near my front door again

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
It's probably the flu virus
Still feeling like a pile of pants myself. Boxing day was the first day. So it's taken me over a week.

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
I think half the population of the UK has had/got this evil feckin' bug in the last few months.
I've had two bouts of it and am just getting over the second one now. I've had this one since mid December. Night Nurse works well. Plus, get some decongestant (Tesco own brand is exactly the same as the top brands and is about £1!) and take them too. GWS! Pete

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
You can get menthol crystals at Boots. Just be careful, you only need one or two crystals in a bowl!

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
I had this virus (or similar) back in October, typically JUST before my annual flu jab.
For all you oldies or have kids (or come into contact with them), then get the flu jab this October. It may not prevent getting the flu, but it might stop it getting really bad. I'd like to thank my BIL for infecting half the family over Christmas, by turning up ill the Christmas dinner
