Re: What have you tinkered with today?
cheers mav. yup its growing on me. its about 1/2 the weight of the other one. just fancied a change more than anything but wanted to spend as little as possible.
i'm pretty sure that the wadding in the old one is fubar so i'm going to phone Beowulf next week and see what the score is as they are supposed to have a lifetime guarantee. |

The colour flows with the colour of your bike, that's what I like.
A hipster would say it's organic or bs of that sort.

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
That does look nice. Apart from weight and sound, does a can make a difference to performance anywhere in the rev range?
I guess they're all much the same in terms of internal design - a straight through, perforated tube wrapped in wadding. Does length make a difference? |

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
That's a very tidy looking can Bibs, as Mav says, it fits well with the look of the bike.

unless the can has baffled segments (SV original exhaust) then pretty much every after market slip on has a perforated tube with a wadding wrap and a "DB killer" bolted on the end. |

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
good run out with the bike indicates that the DIY Scotoiler HCR works perfect
new can is loud but a nice loud, its not as obnoxious as i thought it would be. |

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
New oil filters and sump plug washers arrived at the weekend somthats the next job, plus it has got a bit of an oil leak from somewhere, materialises under the side stand but after a look underneath there was oil all over the place so hard to see where it's coming from
