Re: Vintage film cameras
Ah well, at least the lens is usable now.
Picked my two items up from the PO today. The OM20 looks OK but I'll need to renew the seals and check the electrics are all fine. The Tamron is a big lens. It could do with a clean as there are some very slight hazy spots inside but looking through it, they don't show up. Need to film test it I guess. |

Re: Vintage film cameras
Some serious kit there. You not skinning the Minolta? That Trip went for £58 plus postage.
Lomo fisheye Focus on my car boot Trip looks ok I also have the Pentax mount for it that does auto stop down. Will mostly be used on the K1000.

Re: Vintage film cameras
I like the fisheye; I'd love a really wide angle ......
I saw the Trip selling price too; crazy. Though that being said, a couple of my items sold at good prices. OM20 is practically the same as the OM10 with the manual adapter. The only differences I've noticed are that the 20's controls/ev compensation are easier to adjust and that the readings in the display are all led, as opposed to the black figures and led dots of the 10. I don't know what to do with the Minolta. I have the blue leather skin but I really like the functional metal look. Also like the feel of the bare metal. I know I should cover it but clear plastic will feel like ... well, plastic. |

Re: Vintage film cameras
If you like it that way then leave it naked. It's a little hard to frame the fisheye but the effects are really cool. Picked up an OM20 for £1.50 plus post. Missing the grip on the front but I think I have one kicking around somewhere and the battery check doesn't work. Worth a shot for the price.

Re: Vintage film cameras
That's a great price for an OM20. And I thought I did well getting one for under a tenner.
I was planning to ride up to Newcastle today to check out a Trip but the seller never got back to me. Really like the boat pic on the other thread BTW. |

Re: Vintage film cameras
Thanks, thought my D3200 deserved a trip out. Found the grip for the OM20. Hoping it works ok. Was also shooting with the P30t as well but didn't fire off many shots.
Good reading on the OM20 http://www.petervis.com/Cameras/olym...20-repair.html

Re: Vintage film cameras
Hope you had a good hol Johnny.
I'll try the rotating trick, cheers. I also get a bit of joy If I move my head/eye around a bit. Kenzie, did your OM20 turn up? |
