Re: What have you tinkered with today?
Oh never mind. They are supposed to be there! I haven't noticed them before but there are 4 around each side of the rear tyre. None on the front. To me it looks like the tyre has melted there

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
Should have my rebuilt calipers back in a while. Then just the small matter of refilling the system from empty.
Someone has helped themselves to all my cable ties!! Grr. |

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
I love that instruction you get about filling brake lines from empty. The bit that says, "This will take a few minutes"
It should say "Take as long as you like. Your life isn't long enough to do it justice. Live with a slight spongy feeling and stop moaning" I hate bleeding brakes. I actually think I hate f*******, p******, a****ole brakes. |

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
i really dont understand how people have problems bleeding brakes.. its stupidly simple.
jar - some brake fluid in jar - tube connected to bleed nipple - other end of tube in jar - open bleed nipple - pump brake lever. job done. |

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
Empty brake lines, airlock, pump forever, nothing coming through.
End up taking banjo off and wait 10 minutes for fluid to run through system. Them clean up the mess. Surely that's not how they fill the system in the factory!!! |
