Default Re: 2019 - Border Patrol ride out with an overnight?

Just edited my post above to give the date of the weekend.

28/29/30 June 2019. Have just spoken with Graham at the Bunkorama and confirmed that these dates are free, and let him know we'd be making the definite booking and paying before New Year.

Copy the list below, paste it into a post, and add yourselves and preferences.

ChrisSVS - confirmed, bunkhouse

aj76 - confirmed, bunkhouse

LoM - confirmed, bunkhouse

garynortheast - confirmed, bunkhouse

Admin (john) - confimed, bunkhouse

I'll do this via a BACs system. When I am ready to collect payments I'll message everyone and give you account details.

Is there a ride of some description planned for the friday or is it more of an "everyone arrive" day? The most favourable sailing from Dublin would put me on dry land in Holyhead around 12pm + the ride down of around 70mi

The return sailing at 20:30 on 30th probably makes more sense than the 14:00, but I'm considering the length of day + miles done here, so may just book an extra night(whether in bunkorama or in Holyhead Travel lodge) and get the monday AM sailing. (2hrs+ ride off the boat home)

I'm almost certain to stay an extra day or two Chris. I had such a good time in this area the last time that it just makes sense. So an all day Sunday ride for me.

Excellent, potentially booking an extra night or two in bunkhouse then

Friday is an "everyone arrive day" Chris. If I were you, I'd just have a slow bimble down from the ferry to Barmouth on some of the smaller roads. There's some fab back lanes to explore.

I have ride outs planned for Saturday and Sunday for those that want to do them, but not the Friday. I thought most folk would have had a good ride getting there and would probably rather go for something to eat and chat.

It may be worth ringing Graham or Anne at Bunkorama (01341 281134) to book any extra days sooner rather than later, as I get the impression the bunkhouse gets quite heavily booked up over the summer.

Excellent. I have an old friend from my gaming days over towards Chester so might give him a shout for lunch..

Never met him but John and I spent many hours killing each other and doing donuts in Willies jeeps in Call of Duty
