Have you seen the size of groups at Silverstone? Doubt we will fill half!!

Yeah I did one there last year. 80 bikes per group!! It was ridiculous! I know silverstone is big n long but 80 is way too much to be able to get into a groove.

Got a trailer sorted now tho. Will book the car in for a towbar when I get back from tour and then hunt for a bike

Yeah 80!! It was crazy, as whilst there should be enough space the bikes get backed up behind eachother, each jostling to get past through corners.
I was in novice group but it was kinda a free for all in terms that fast and inters got booked up quickly so people just went in for the novice.

It was about a month before the BSB round so hopefully it won't be as manic this time.

As TazDaz said, you decide. Anyone who's doing their first trackday has to go into novice.

Usually people like to get a few under their belt before moving up to Inters.

I'm happy in novice or inters. I will always be one of the slowest in inters, but I think I'm fairly consistent and I've never been asked to move down - well, not yet, anyway. But if the organisers wanted me to move down a group, or if I was feeling very out of place, then I'd be absolutely fine with that of course.

Nowadays I just tend to book into whichever group my friends are in.

Last time I did Silverstone I was on my GS500, which was quite funny - going down the start / finish straight with my throttle pinned open and still having everyone whiz past me, ha ha! This time I won't have 47bhp as my excuse. Ahem.
