Ah just like the Nazi war camp generals, right. Blindly obeying orders.

So its alright cos you say so and "end of" cos you've run out of any other decent defence of their behaviour?

Nope it wasn't the fact it was a copper than did it, I was just a bit taken a back at how he didn't think twice about giving here a back hander. Just seemed malicious and then he slipped back into the crowd of coppers as soon as he knew people had noticed

All sparked by some random bloke not being able to leave to take a dump.

I brought my 4 kids up to have respect for me, their mother, teachers, people in authority and the police. I also taught them that sometimes life isn't fair, but that they do get a good deal in life compared to the majority of kids in this world.

If people are stupid enough to get themselves into these situations then they get what they deserve. You keep aggresively approaching a copper who is obviously stressed and trying to control a crowd and you'll get shoved away, do it again and you'll get a slap, go in for a third attempt and he'll use a baton on your legs to put you to the ground. She's damn lucky he restrained himself enough to keep the baton away from her stupid head.

She was being aggressive and from what I saw the chap before him wasnt being terribly nice either. How would you feel if you lived in an area where there was a protest being held, the police stood and watched the protesters went on to riot and your car, bike and house got smashed. I'm sure you would be quickly complaining that the police didn't do anything early enough...

Stop being so combative in your responses towards anyone who has a different view from you!
You're not passing judgment, so? you dont need to have been there, you saw the same vid as me. What kicked it all off? it wasn't her shouting was it? No it was the polices initial behaviour to someone who was politely asking to leave.

Perhaps the Guardian are wanting this as they have a number of differnt cases they want to report to the IPCC? I dunno but you seem to know for sure they wanna print it.

And please dont tell me to stop being this way or that. I know its kinda bred into you cops to tell people what emotions to show or not to suit your personal taste but i happen to feel strongly about this kind of unwarranted police behaviour and i'm not gonna post like a timid mouse afraid that you'll hit me with you scary non wooden stick

I think focusing on the control tactics decided on by whoever it was higher up would now be more productive than slagging off the officers on the ground at this point.

It's clear the majority of cops are 'just doing their jobs', despite the sheer ludicrasy of what it is they're being told to do. Some are taking it beyond what's necessary and should be dealt with.

The decision to herd and hem protesters in is the problem as it's a recipe for trouble.

I feel sorry for the cops on the ground TBH. Being given (and following) such orders is just going to result in the public at large being unwilling to lift a finger to help the police.

So who's giving the orders?
