OK, I have scared myself...

Not read all posts, but for me and my limited riding ability, I just think about my two young daughters being left and that seems to reign me in whenI think about getting a bit lairy. It doesn't take anything away from the enjoyment of though, it might so for some?

Read all this now and have to admit I still feel the same. Nearly a year since my off (always seem to have bad luck motoring in August - two car and one bike crash) and I am still nervous in bends.

It doesn't help that I was lucky as hell, was determined to get back on, took my new bike out for a ride over Brecon to Abergavenny to show Hovis and the following weekend...

I do wonder if I should carry on, if I should trade the Fazer in for a cruiser or something. I don't ride like a loon (never really did) and when I'm out I tend to feel okay, it's when I have time to sit and dwell that I get properly ****-scared and don't want to go out again. But then, I do go out, and once I do, I'm fine again.

All I can really say, Ralph, is that this will probably manage to temper that urge to push it once you're out. After all, it's one thing to say 'yeah, definitely gonna be careful,' but it's another to remember that when all the conditions seem right and you want to go for it.

If you can't concentrate on your riding, it's probably for the best.
