At the time I thought it was a locally bike but not for me, now I've got into my biking caterer a little more I do like a lot but the same as the Minster the power and engine size are just a little too low, hence my choice with the tuono, larger CC and more comfortable, I would prefer the "over the steering colum/wheel over the tuono as that is still quite far back but the the power output is a killer for me, I know I'll probably get slatted for it butthats the main reason I got shot of my sv as well.

Just read this from the beginning and not a lot about the street/speed T more about other fantasies that have a problem with anything other than a v-twin.Comparisons between V's,V4's IL4 and Triples, all different bikes requiring different riding techniques and personal preference.
I like Triples as they have the torque of a V engine and the zip of an IL4 and the fuel economy to match a smaller cc engine but hey-ho if twins are your thing go for it,just I expected more content in the thread about triples.

Are you f*@king kidding me? Comparing a ducati monster to a street triple in any way shape or form (especially power...) is like comparing, well...anything thats totally the opposite. You obviously didnt ride a black street triple as they are much much faster

I do see why you went for a tuono though, nice toy right there that is.

Yes just waiting to pick it up, but Ducati had a test w/end and thought it would be rude not too attend.

The Triple was a valid contender and I very nearlt put a deposit on one, they ride beautifully but reliablity is an issue, and build quality I wasn't impressed with, my manager has a limited addition one with less than 1k on clock left it through winter with a cover over it in a garage and the paint stater to crack, that was a put of for me, but it was a very close 2nd, you will understand if you ever test ride a Tuono they really are as awesome as their write ups.

It is true they have more power by I think 2bhp and more tourque than a Tuono but I wanted soul and passion hence no jap bikes, yes the triple has this in bags but not the same as the Tuono does, as you say personal preference.

Any hoo the pics I promised of the Monster from Saturday.

I'm sure the thread originally was only pointing out that he had test ridden one and wanted to tell everyone else about it. People then got involved and were interested in what else he would be trying and wanting to know his views and therefore these were posted. It turned into a bit more of a story of which bike he liked and which one he's getting rather than a review of a speed triple, but that's just the evolution of the thread and I enjoyed it. Sorry that you clearly didn't.
