Last time out at Estoril we saw the best and worst of Spanish riders :

Tony Elias ; Ride of the year without question , even Rossi was in awe of THAT ride .

Dani Pedrosa ; mumphead of the year award . Listen to Colin Edwards , then Pedrosa , one is using his brain , one most certainly is not !
Hayden fan perchance?

I think Pedrosa's attempted pass on Hayden was brave if not ill conceived. Personally I lay the blame at the feet of Repsol Honda. Ok Pedrosa still had a mathematical chance of the championship himself, hence I can assure you he would not have tried to pass Hayden in an effort to chase the gradually moving away Rossi.

HRC could have simply said,"Every man for himself, just do not risk any problems to each other." Simple really.

Dani has rightly been slated but do not make the mistake of thinking that he is an idiot as that will blind you to the immense talent he has.

I would also like to add that how can Hayden chalk his entire championship down to being taken out of the last race? Maybe if he had been a little more up the sharp end in the last 5 races, the DNF wouldn't be so much of a issue.

I totally agree - Vale has had 3 DNF's & still manages to lead the championship whilst Hayden moans & groans about 1 ruining his entire season - what a WUSS !!

Alex Barros has moved to the Pramac d'Antin Team.

Gets the new 800cc Ducati and Bridgestone tyres.

That is the last we hear from him then

More a Honda fan , although i have to say that Nicky has gone up in my estimation no end , for the dignity he has shown since Estoril . When something you've worked and dreamed for all your life is THAT close , and then to have it probably taken away from you , though no fault of your own , must be one bitter pill to take . His anger and frustration must be immense , yet he hasn't slagged Pedrosa off , and continued to sing the (Respol Honda) company song , we're all in it together , everyone makes mistakes etc etc . More dignity than most i can think off , the man is a star .

Sorry Pete , but i have to disagree with you . Danni's attempted pass was in my view ill conceived , brave , i think not , foolhardy would be closer to the mark . Why ill conceived , well because there were better and safer places to pass , just look at Rossi / Ellias etc . Aggressive - yes but also without taking anybody out (we leave that to Ducatti's past and future - Sete and Casey) . The fantastic battle between Rossi and Caprirossi at Malaysia , wheel to wheel , hard as you like but safe as you like , there are certain places to pass and certain places where not to pass .

As for team orders , you seriously think that Repsol Honda / HRC haven't reminded Danni and Nicky regularly of their responsibilities " Lads race but two Repsol Hondas in the points / on the podium ARE BETTER THAN NONE . Of course they bloody well have .

I don't think Danni is an idiot for one second , he is a world champion , and almost certainly a future Moto GP world champion , his talent is undeniable . Because he is a world champion he should know better than most what takes , and what it means to be a world champion . Hence i find his manoeuvre on Nicky all the more unforgivable . He is NOT an idiot but in this case his judgement WAS seriously flawed , and Nicky and HRC / Repsol Honda have a right to expect and deserve better .

Taken away from him? C'mon, he had a 50 point lead at one stage.
