I had a black gold 182 a few years ago and sold it to get something sensible. Missed it ever since. Bought this RB a couple of weeks ago

Once the OEM UV protection layer is removed they seem to degrade more quickly (like when you pressure was the patio slabs the moss and lichen comes back more quickly because you have destroyed the surface).

Funny how people will wax and polish their cars paintwork but ignore headlight plastic until it clouds over... (being lazy in the car cleaning area I had dealer applied paint protection and every time it rains it cleans the car, the only bit I have ever cleaned regularly is the headlights - and it seems to work). I did a family members car with Fenwicks caravan window cream and it removed the cloudiness very well with just a cotton cloth and the cream.

The AutoGlym super resin polish is also great for keeping UPVC ( or PCV-U ) window frames in great shape, just once a year is all it needs.
Good tips there. I'm going to try to keep on top of it and maintain the finish with regular light hand polishing.

Oil and filter arrived today so changed them on the SV in preparation for our trip to Scotland on Sunday. Need the new tyres to arrive now so that I can change them too. The rear is squared off now and there's not enough tread left on it to complete the trip.

Nice - needs one more zip-tie just to make sure it's properly mounted, I reckon

Use white zip ties and I reckon they'll blend in better Darren.

Cor I like bodges but I hope the MOT man doesnt see that one! Perhaps a jubilee clip or stainless tie would have looked a bit more convincing
