I used to pop in every now and then but got fed up wit their snide comments about this forum and when they started discussing how best to carry their weapons when on their bikes I gave up on them completely. If you want to talk about concealed carry or which calibre is best for stopping bike thieves at close quarters join a gun forum...

Went in to London today for a chat with a recruiter about a possible new contract. As it was a nice day I had a wander about in the sunshine afterwards instead of heading straight back to Marylebone. Bit of a mistake as I had forgotten to take a hat and after a bit I realised my head was starting to cook... Had to duck into a nearby hostelry for a cold reviving one, which was nice. Hope you all managed to enjoy at least some of the sunshine today, if you had some in your neck of the woods of course.

Bike does look good, mind you I have never been a fan of faired bikes, why hide all that lovely engineering behind plastic. Last time I used a bike for commuting was when I was in late teens early 20's (late 60's early 70's) and even then they were not faired, can't for the life of me how I used to ride in all weather and on snowy / icy roads - must have been the foolishness / hardiness of yoof.

IMHO You do get more of an experience on naked bikes, and I have never been one for long distance touring where a fairing is a help.

And as you say, less likely to lose your licence on a naked. Being a naked the AL7 already had lower gearing fitted as standard ( 15 / 46 ) and is pretty quick off the mark as a result.
