I've done 9000 on the KTM rear, and it's looking like needing replacement soon - it's more because it's square than because it's worn out though.

7921 miles when I got rear puncture. Well squared, so replaced f & r.
. . but then I do ride like a big girl's blouse!

So at best a couple of thousand less than a storm 2 then ?

I got 5750 out of the rear on the VFR, all of that was two up and a significant chunk was with panniers loaded too. That mileage is slightly better than I was getting from Storms riding solo.

Sent from my phone.

Holy thread resurrection!

I'm thinking about getting these after the RoadSmart2's - however whilst the rear is squaring off, the front is not that old.

Wondering about mixing them?

Out if interest, what's making you go away from the RS 2's? I really liked them on the SV

I didn't get a lot of mileage out of the rear and although I really rate them over the new Storms, I fancied a change.

I've got 14k out of them, rear was a bit square, front was perfectly round. I've stuck another pair on for round two, let's see if I can wear away plenty of the side in the spring/summer before I flatten the centre in winter and going to and from AR! They still had more grip than I could use with the centre pretty much bald and the edges at 2mm in all weathers. As an update, after putting the new pair on they heat up much faster and are much better in the dry, guess more tread movement is responsible; still I won't replace these until there's nothing left of the centre!
