Had the carbs off the EN500 to get it sorted. One stuck float needle, and as usual both float bowl o rings are perished. New ones on the way. Once it's done, the Mrs is doing her DAS. Probably next month.

Modified my airbox on the sv650 k5 that I am rebuilding slowly. Did the TPS mod. Got more parts coming this week. I know what I want it to look like and it is getting there. Slowly.

New seals in one rear caliper & reassembled.

The other spare caliper joining bolts refuse to budge, so Plusgaz treatment for them

Today I have fitted a new screen, fitted a new hugger as the old one was about to fall off and fitted a 12v lead into the top box.

I started a ten week motorcycle maintenance evening course last night at Hackney College with CMSD2. I'm basically clueless and fed up with paying the BMW dealer to do everything so when he suggested it I thought it was a good idea.

Ideally I would take my own bike along each week but the ride from Chelmsford to Lord's then back to Hackney then home will probably be a bit much in the middle of November after a long day at work so instead I'm planning on taking Chris's Tiger to bits each week, and if he's very lucky I might put it back together again.

A great idea. I had a friend who knew his bikes and I learnt a lot from him. Once you know the basics you'll get the confidence to try bigger jobs. It's very satisfying too.
