Self defense only counts when in immediate danger. If you report it to old bill they won't/can't do f*** all so either beat the guy half to death and get sent down or get a gallon of petrol through your letterbox.

This bloke did not deserve to be released. He inflicted brain damage. It wasn't self defence at all, it was a vigilante lynching. Damn right that he was convicted.

What I find particularly amusing is that when the bloke got home and found his house being burglarised, he had just returned from the mosque. Now, the Koran describes Allah as 'the most merciful'. Our man here didn't show much mercy. What a f*ckin hypocrite. Send him down. And his brother didn't deserve a reduction in sentence either. I'd have dismissed the appeals, and what's more the original sentences were too short. He deserved a lot more. This wasn't defending a home, this was out and out violence.

What is perhaps even funnier than the non-following of the Koran is that now that our bloke is convicted of GBH with intent, and of course the conviction was upheld, the burglar can apply for a payout from the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board. In other words, you and I end up paying for our hero's bravery in beating six shades of **** out of the burglar.

Having read this, do you still feel the same way towards this charming man?

Ed

I don't normally correct anyone's English. 'Would/should/could of' is a bugbear and wrong. But you'd have plenty of time to learn that in the nick

The Burglar has got brain damage. However, his brain seems pretty fine to be able to go out and commit another offence whilst Hussain was in prison.

Since we're doing English lessons, it wasn't a lynching. I didn't hear of any ropes slung over trees.

What do this mans religious leanings have to do with the case? Christian interpretations allow for a "just war", which in the case of a future threat to your family is perfectly justified. I presume the muslim faith has something similar.

Why is it this mans fault that the system stinks? There should be a very simple statement in law that says if you are injured in carrying out violent crime then "fackin unlucky sunshine."

If he hadn't battered him, then he'd have got away scot free. Because you're having a giraffe if you think he'd have been caught and reasonably sentenced (like to a 9mm in the back of the knees), and next it would have been your family at risk...
