Oh you're not the only one... Then again some would claim the figures are correct.

The Eddie The Eagle movie.
I saw High-Rise and The Big Short with the same friend and it was nice to see something lighthearted and feel good. Or Hugh Jackman and a good feel, as my friend reminded me I'd managed on his visit to work.

Handed my resignation in yesterday, felt good now let's hope I'm still as happy about it in a few months time.

Google
See my gripe, found out that the check engine light comes on with the street if the battery is disconnected, and should go off after three ride cycles. Came out of the doctors and it's gone off, back to normal thankfully. What would we do without bike forums and knowledgeable folk?

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
I just had a couple of hours with a former England cricketer who spent 6 years in prison for smuggling cocaine. Yes it was a stupid and irresponsible thing to do and he's served his time. But he's spending his days now speaking to young cricketers and other sports people about not making the mistakes he did and planning for a future after professional sport. We also had a talk from another former pro about depression, looking out for the signs and how to cope. It's a shame not all 18-20 year olds don't get this sort of mentoring.

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
I took brownies and carrot cake in for the above mentioned event today. Turns out one of the gentleman attending was the former pastry chef at The Dorchester. He just sent me a lovely email saying how nice my cakes were and thanking me for going to the trouble of baking them. High praise indeed as they were only simple recipe as I have a two hour journey to work they need to survive.

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
I went to see a good friend of mine today, who has just had a baby.
Got to hold a baby for the first time! And I was ****ting myself, scared that I would drop him or not support the head enough.... Amazing day really |
