Yeah that's more what I meant, just complain and they should give you something, its damn poor of them especially seeing as you paid extra specially for Saturday delivery.

I even rang yesterday to check that everything was going to be okay with it.

Woo, bike is fixed and back. It was only over the weekend that I remembered that Nick had problems with AMS servicing his bike and I started to worry. But they did a really good job. Clutch fixed and new chain and sprockets and all labour for £137.92, collected and delivered. They collected on Friday night and delivered back tonight. I'm pretty impressed. And best of all, I can ride to work tomorrow instead of spending an extra hour in the car!

One will assume the clutch problem was a minor one then. Glad you got your bike back Steve. You are obviously more favoured than our Nick numbers.

Yeah, it was just the smaller half of the pushrod had snapped. Indeed. I decided not to bring it up when I was chatting to the guy that I had a friend who hadn't had the best service!

Glad to know your back on the road - must have been depressing without a bike on such a lovely weekend! Even worse having to sit in a car going to work with the sun beating down on you!!

Despite being out with my gf in the car all day Monday I had to get a quick ride on the bike in the sun. Only went to the local shops and back but it was worth it.

Thankfully it was such a busy weekend I wouldn't have had time to ride anyway. I've done pretty well tbh, only two days driving up to London, and only one of those journeys was really bad. Plus with the new car it was less taxing sitting in traffic, particularly with the AC.

Went out on my bike just now for a quick ride about to check it was all ok. It's amazing how much I'd missed it. And it feels so much smoother with the new chain! I think it was well overdue!

Glad to hear you're back on the road. not too expensive either, if that price included the parts too. Think I paid about ?82 for my new C&S off ebay.

I had some guy at Kings two wheel centre in oxford yesterday try to tell me it would cost ?20 just to rivet my chain! what a nobber. Then he tried to fob me off and tell me that they would need to have the bike there to do it etc. The moron couldnt comprehend that I had the swingarm off and didn't need to bring the bike in - talk about clueless! Dropped the chain in at Harpers of Cowley this morning, he will do it for ?6 which is much more reasonable.
