Re: Vintage film cameras
DONE IT! Finally got the Konica back in one piece. There was a little lever attached to the co-cking shaft that need its spring re-hooking, and another little lever made out of quite thin metal that had become a bit bent out of plane. I need to collimate and to clean everything under the top cover, will also measure the speeds, but it's working! Only slight query is how to collimate it, and that the front lens element hasn't screwed back into the barrel quite as far as before, hopefully it'll all be fine or easy to fix.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Cool, that's good to hear. Does it collimate like any other camara? Loosen the focus ring, set focus and retighten?

Re: Vintage film cameras
Pic of the Cokin stuff is here.
https://goo.gl/photos/9ApQjXgnYob8BG2n8 There's a couple of holders, a round polarising filter and blue and yellow square ones. Also a set of 'creative masks.' I probably won't use any of them so up for grabs. |

Kenzie - no, no idea yet. The focus is nearest the body. It's unit focus so this is where it all moves from.
Will pass I think Yoko, I wouldn't know what to do with those. Coloured filters are mainly for monochrome stuff but I usually shoot colour. Are they worth anything? |

Re: Vintage film cameras
I can't see them being worth very much but I'm reluctant to just dump them. I'll hang on to them and see if I can pass them on sometime.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Looks like people do buy them, there are a couple of recent sales for £6 or so with multiple bids on ebay. I'd say with some good pics and a bit of googling so you can say something convincing in the advert they'd go for £5-10 plus postage, which you might be able to squeeze into large letter, in which case you can offer it "free" as it's only about £1.20

Re: Vintage film cameras
Made myself some redscale film using an old Kodak roll from a bootsale find and some Vista 200. Loaded it into my Cosmic. https://awareofthevoid.com/2014/06/1...ale-film-35mm/

Re: Vintage film cameras
Will do. Read that you need to overexpose to get better results. Normal exposure will produce a very red image. The QL19 arrived today, its a junker or otherwise in need of Johnny levels of surgery. I think one of the aperture blades are broken.
