The only person I know who needs a Tom-Tom to show him the way to his mouth.
He recons it saves him from stabbing his face with the fork ![]() |

Here was where the incident took place
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&sour...&cbp=12,0,,0,0 I took the previous bend a lot faster than i was comfortable with but just about made it around. Thought Ralph was going to struggle as he was right on my tail so checked my mirrors to see if he made it. Then before I knew it I was going in the wrong direction. I have never ridden that fast for that long before, I normally ride to about 70% of my comfort zone but Saturday I was at 90% most of the time. Still it's good fun to test yourself now and again. ![]()

I didn't have any particular problem with the corner before, although I was right on your tail (which I apologise for) like I said earlier, I tend to ignore the bike in front and plan the road in front of it.
I seem to remember being a long time quite hard on the brakes because the limit point stayed still for an awful long time on approach, so I knew it was probably near enough 90 degrees. I tend to stay on the brakes until the limit point starts moving, then off the brakes onto a slightly positive throttle just as or before I tip in. The next corner the problem wasn't the corner, I was set up and ready for that, it was the confusion and suddenly having to figure out which way we were supposed to be going, then make up my mind about where to go. |

Haha, don't know I'm laughing, I was only about 6 inch off of running into the back of Ralph. The resulting trumpet/tuono combo would have rivalled frankengixxer in the looks department.
Must do it again sometime. Choo choo |

That's twice this year I've nearly been wiped out by the rider behind me, Phil narrowly missed me about January/February time ('cos I spotted a right turn into a green lane so I hauled the anchors on from 60mph to go investigate ![]() Last edited by -Ralph-; 11-04-11 at 08:03 PM. |
