Re: What have you tinkered with today?
I too had mine on the clutch bolt. Much less intrusive.
Also much easier to operate with your clutch hand whilst riding instead of throttle hand. If you have any sheet metal kicking around they are easy to knock up. Mine needed replacing, so I knocked one up out of a section of cable trunking.

Fitted a voltmeter to the VFR. This is quite a common mod given the charging issues that a lot of these bikes suffer from. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
What are you going to fit on the other side John? A USB port maybe?

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
Air filter replaced on the GSXR. Not sure how old the other one was but keen to get anything unkown swapped out.
Also took the front end apart to fit Variobars I'd got second hand. Went to adjust the bars and found one of the bolts totally seized and bolt corners mashed too much for a socket to engage with. So, all taken off again and back together as it was. A real pain and waste of time and now the seller is being a d**k on eBay and refusing to send a return postage label and hasn't got a clue how to navigate eBay (as mentioned on "gripe" thread) .. I'm sure he actually has and is just trying to make it as difficult as possible and hold on to the refund money as long as possible. So bars will stay the same for now and I'll just have to do some more Joe Wicks PE with the kids to strengthen my core .

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
So a reasonably productive weekend with little man's push bike rebuild and if dad (me) wasnt such a Muppet it would have been finished
Didn't realise the front derailluer I ordered was top pull and not bottom pull Front forks removed, stripped, primed and painted and refitted Rear swing arm pivot cleaned and greased. Handle bars stripped, sprayed and refitted, New brake levers and gear shifters fitted. New v brakes fitted front and rear, setup and adjusted with new cables Rear derailleur new cable run and indexing set. Front derailleur installed and new cable run. Hopefully get the right part by next week and be able to actually get the SV out next Sunday for a short ride Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk |

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
New LED indicators, all the way from ameriki in under a week.
Think I've run out of cheap (ish) changes now. Hopefully the cost of the more expensive ones will put me off buying anything else. Sent from an S20 using Tapatalk with that kin cr4p blocked

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
Not done any bike tinkering but have spent about £300 this week on bike stuff so that ive got everything I need ready to tinker.
I'm ditching the clipons and doing a bar conversion.
