I like that, very funny but also very true of the current generation who think they can become instafamous.

Yep. The younger generation have to get it all instantly and don't seem to understand the idea of working towards achieving something. And if they don't succeed, it's someone else's fault. I see it every day.

Kenzie, did you manage to clean the fungus from the lens? There's some inside one of my Tamron adaptalls. I'm a bit wary of taking one of those big beercans apart though. Don't want to wreck it.

I got most of it out but there are some whisps deep in the lens. Going to shoot with it first as I didn't get to use the last Contina I bought. I took a Canon FD 135mm apart and ruined it. No idea how to reassemble it now.

I can get the other Contina out later and have a look how if you like.

Good link Yoko!

Lubitel not arriving for a week or two I think, my father in law is dropping it off when he is next over. Had brother in law over this weekend but gone now and on late shift this week so will have a bit of time for tinkering! Job number 1: Konica. Clean the top end and collimate, then shoot! Got a few shots left in each of Contessamat, Certo and Ikonta, so might take a trip to Yorkshire Sculpture park or just go for a walk somewhere.

Last minute trip out to the park. Finished off film in the Ansco Speedex, Ensign wide angle, om10 and the Agfa Solinette. Will get the black and white sent off with the colour as I can't be bothered to set up for one film.
Is the Contessa one you are looking to sell on?

Just found a roll of exposed Rera Pan 100 127 in my odd draw. So have mixed up a batch of ID11 and will dev the 127, 120 and the roll of Agfa tonight.

I'm a bit scared of taking a 70-210 apart. It's got cobwebs of white fungus on several of the elements. They're not visible looking through the viewfinder so maybe I'll try it first, see what shows up on the images.

I would try it first, no point taking it a apart if it works ok I would leave it alone. I took apart the Yashica 50mm and wrecked that well. Got a few shots from Germany on the Rera Pan which came from the VP Twin. Got some shots from the Speedex which was Fomapan 100. Last few shots were a bit shaky so I may have set it up wrong. Currently hanging and drying to be scanned tomorrow.

Cleaned up the viewfinder for the Konica. Everything has a million parts! To get the top off you take off the rewind crank and a screw, then at the other end there are 10 things to remove to get the winder lever off and that end free. Screws that go into other screws, that cover up other screws. Should collimate it tomorrow.

Are you in danger of being able to use that camera? I scanned the Speedex film but its been ruined by the red window leaving a streak all the way across the middle of the film. Off to London in Saturday, what film camera should I take? Feeling the XA as its easy to pocket.

Pants! Does it have a slide cover on the window? You'll need to use a bit of tape otherwise. How did they look aside from the streaks? Laardarrrrn, depends what you intend shooting, XA will be good for snapping moments, MF would be good if it's going to be things that move slowly. For all its crappiness there is some good architecture in London.
