Thanks EE, was looking after my Grandson last night and was up until 4AM. Luke is missing his Mum, but she has had to go away for the weekend for a family funeral and Dad had his best mates birthday and wanted to go out and do what young men do when the wife is away. Luke has also just started "head banging", repeatedly slamming his head against the mattress in his travel cot, which has freaked me out, but the internet says is perfectly normal. So I finally got to sleep at four AM and then get a sales text message from EE at seven AM on a Sunday morning that wakes me up. So thanks EE, you are a bunch of male chicken suckers!

Drum doesnt seem to want to turn, there's a lot of resistance.

Now it wasnt expensive, under £200, so do we call out our our friendly tech engineer or buy a new machine

It is probably the bearing located at the center behind the drum.
Had to replace one in my lads dryer a few months ago.
Remove the belt if it will not spin freely it's the bearing.
Not to hard to replace but helps if you have an assistant when replacing the drum.
Parts should be around £35 and less than an hours work.

If you're going to pay someone else might be just as well off to get a new one at that price.

We have a guy just round the corner from us mends domestic appliances and he said business is really poor for him as people just throw stuff away now instead of mending them. The prices are now so low on things like dryers that most don't bother and his phone rings less and less. Seems such a waste, especially as John Lewis/Currys take your old one away for free and someone probably gets them cheap off them and mends them...

Dropping things on my foot.

Yesterday, I dropped the battery for my quadcopter on my foot. Looks like this today!

When you take away old units, as we do with our old refrigerators, you are not allowed to even break it for spares, can be quite annoying sometimes as we havevto send perfectly good units for scrap just because some designer does not like the colour, such a ridiculous waste.

If that's the bruise, how big is the battery/'copter? Is it a Chinook?
