Waking up to the sad news that Richie Benaud had died. I grew up listening to him, and years later was lucky enough to spend over ten years working with him. He was always friendly and gracious to everyone. Class and good manners were his style. There's a few former BBC presenters could have learnt a thing or two from Richie on how to behave towards the crew and co workers. He'll be sadly missed.

Manhole covers that honestly shouldn't be there and mess up the line of a safe apex.
And Yes it is flipping slippery in the damp as I gave it a try this morning.

email request for proof of no claims, 2 months after I took out the policy.

Why by email, I get hundreds a day and bulk delete loads without opening.

It was simply luck that this was the very first one on the stack that I was tempted to open it.

lots of threat of what could happen if I did not return the requested information. (Which I have provided)

I've just had my bike policy voided because I did not declare a car accident I had in December. I'm a named driver on my partner's car policy. I wrongly thought that car and motorcycle policies were treated separately, and that only claims on your own insurance counted.

So now I have to declare that I've had insurance refused or cancelled whenever I apply for insurance.

I had added the van to my aviva multicar policy. I guess they are starting to tighten things up, if they cannot find an electronic trace of an entitlement, request it.

Annoying the email simply said a communication in respect to your policy. It was only opening up the attachment that I had the request for a proof of no claims. So very easily missed.

I had something similar, got a very nasty letter from my insurer saying I had ingored all previous letters etc. When I rang them to query this fact they admitted they'd printed the first letter but never actually sent it!

And the worst part is the 'Have you ever had insurance declined/refused?' is pretty much the last question they ask when quoting you, hence why after 20 minutes of giving out details for a quote I was told 'oh, sorry we can't insure you'. Pfft!

Default Gripe of the day - What is yours?

Thinking you've been taking some decent night sky photos with your hacked bridge camera only to find you have really only been standing in the freezing cold and pitch black for ages with the lens cap on.
