Re: Rockingham Nat. Sun 22nd March 2009
Nice results there Zombie. Thanks again for letting me use your GPS.
Looks like you vastly improved in the last session. There's a massive jump there. Not to sure if that was a good session (4) compared to yours. Regarding the improvements in the last session, could there have been something that helped everyone. As i definately felt that was my best session to...???

Re: Rockingham Nat. Sun 22nd March 2009
I can give you or anyone else a copy of the program if someone would find it usefull. All is needed is a data logger which can record latitude/longitude/velocity and should cost about £50.
Thought you did well for first time in inters. I had no probs staying with you when I followed on session 4 not sure what lap I passed you on but the times appear to suggest you went a bit faster that session to keep up with me. Last session was probably down to me getting hang of the track a bit more. I'm generally not that quick on the final session because I usually have hade my fun and just want to get the bike back in one peice. I reckon low 1:20s should be possible on my bike in it's current configuration. Doing the same track repeatedly is a good way to work on technique since you don't have to spend all morning learning the layout. |

Regarding the data logger, how does it judge when the lap is finished and started. Does it reset when you pass the same spot in the globe or do you have to cut the time on you computer so to speak.

Re: Rockingham Nat. Sun 22nd March 2009
I was pulling 1.38 - 1.40 in the final session but I was quite a bit quicker in the penultimate session. Dunno why I went off the boil a touch in the last session, may have been getting a little cold but it didn't click as much for me!
I can't wait till the 24th April when I do Angelsey with the GixxerJunkies!

I think Cartwrim timed one of the guys in the fast group at around a 1.25 for reference

I've also got code to do bridge to gantry times on the nurburgring aswell. Qstarz BT1000 Though all my program needs is a text file per sessions with your longitude/latitude/velocity per unit timestep and pretty much any logger will do this. |
