Re: INTERESTING FACT OF THE DAY
Despite Oates' sacrifice, the remaining three men still died, of starvation and exposure in their tent on 29 March 1912. The really sad fact is that they were only 20 km from a pre-arranged supply depot.

Re: INTERESTING FACT OF THE DAY
Tonight I established that a Blackberry can remain immersed in old engine oil for approximately 20 seconds and still function once removed and dried with plenty of toilet paper.
However the Blackberry is still very slippy and probably not a good idea to try it on your Blackberry or similar device. |

Re: INTERESTING FACT OF THE DAY
I prefer my blackberrys not to taste of engine oil. Just a personal thing. I discovered a while back that an iPod Nano Mk3 can survive an hour in a washing machine. As can a USB stick (bloomin' children, leaving things in their pockets).

Re: INTERESTING FACT OF THE DAY
A 20yr old 4x 'C' cell Maglite torch can survive intact after being dropped onto rocks in the sea during a cliff traverse from 30ft up and the same torch withstands being projected forwards onto tarmac during an emergency brake test from 60mph-0 whilst perched precariously on the front left wiper arm mechanism of a Rover 200!
Battle scarred, but still it shines on. |

Re: INTERESTING FACT OF THE DAY
The words Champion, champagne, camp and campaign all come from the word campus which in Latin means field.
