Well shot nothing while away but that's how it goes. Pleased with the scanner? How does it compare with your Epson? Have you got a pic of the Bessa yet?

Scanner is great, can't complain for £12! Had another Canon but the glass was broken. No pics of the Bessa yet but I think I have a functioning OM20 at last!

Does the scanner have some sort of adapter for negatives, or is it for prints only? What's the story with the OM?

I have just patched up the £2.99 OM20 with parts from the jammed OM20. Display is dead I think and the film counter is stuck but it works. Will give it whirl. The scanner has a back light and a negative holder built into the lid. You detached the holder, load it and clip it back in when needed. You also get a cover so you can use it as a regular scanner.

I got a couple of films back today. Unfortunately, small north Yorkshire market town can't deal with black and white so that won't be back until next week.
Reasonably happy with the X700 using the 50mm MD lens or Tokina 35-135

But the shots from the XD5 have come out strange. A white stripe, joined shortly afterwards by a red one and then nothing on the last 3 shots on the roll. Does it look like a light leak? Shouldn't be because I replaced the seals. Any ideas?

Does kind of look like a light leak, I would shoot another test roll and see what happens. Nothing fancy that you would want to keep. Did you scan them yourself? Can you see anything on the negs?
Where did you send your black and white film to?

Yep, the marks are on the negatives. I checked the camera and it looks fine. It's the one I took the leatherette off. Could that make a difference? Light getting in through the camera body somewhere? Strange that it's all OK for the last 3 shots on the roll though.

The local camera shop processed it and scanned it to disc. They sent the B&W off somewhere - I can ask but they haven't got the chemicals for the black and white film, which is from the OM10 you passed on to me. They recommended using Ilford XP2, which they can process as it uses the same chemicals as a colour film. I'll give that a go next time.

Yeah, there are some C41 black and white films. Handy for when you can't do them yourself or wait for them to be sent off. You could always try covering the gaps in the body and see if that makes any difference.
Oh, did some charity shops today. Accidently bought a 126 camera, thought it was a 110, and a Agfa Silette.

I notice you scan yours. The scans to disc I get are about 2mb; 2000x3000 pixels. Would it make any difference to quality scanning prints or the negatives myself?
