Thames Valley Group Section - Will you attend?

Sorry mate, only had 30 mins or so on the bike.. There is that pub just before you cross the bridge called the Angel.. There is parking there and tables outside etc.. Whats that one thats halfway?

I still havn't gone Henley way....its too smegging hot I will drop in when i pass it next.

No probs on not meeting....i had my biking fix saturday morning. My mate hooked me up with a bunch of litre sports bike maniacs...was hard work to keep up with them! It did give me a chance to get to grips with some hardcore corners....late breaking and other suicidal sorts of stuff.

I was 'mocked'(in a good natured way) for having a womans bike! It just goes to show that there is always someone with a better bike to laugh at you. The only other non litre bike was ridden by a woman and i ****ed all over her, so some pride was restored.

I am also playing more in the top end, where the bike obviously thrives....still a few hundred miles before i stop clock watching though.

Well up for a Tuesday meet (depending on whether I can get a green card from the missus or not). Somewhere slightly out of town would be good. If any of you find anywhere good could you do the honours of providing a postcode so that I can tap it into the old gps!

Well, I don't know many places up as far as Henley, but if I was organising, I'd just say the Flowing Spring just outside of Sonning. Loads of space to park up and very friendly.

Anyway, wherever we choose, I'm hoping to come along, dependent on whether I'm actually losing my voice or not...

Philbut says he knows of a nice pub in Henley. He didn't know the name though, lets hope he posts here today.

better not disappoint then ay. Yeah, there is a pub just on the water front on the one way system. Can't remember the name. I don't think it has beer garden though - if the weather is hot like this a garden might be good. Weather for tomorrow says showers though , lets hope it's dry by the evening.

EDIT: As I thought, they have put up their classic "sun/clouds/rain" symbol which means they have no idea what it will be like.

Having read the previous posts, i agree that an out of centre pub would be better. As henley is so small, it shouldn't be hard to find one. if we can't come to a decision, we could all just meet by the river at the bridge and ride out till we spot a good un?

yep. didn't want an argument in the street outside your place last night man so i backed down. if she doesn't like it its tough S$£t. last time i checked, i hadn't signed a contract with her restricting me having fun!
