But, I agree with you about the cornering. Thats pretty much the quickest i've ridden roads like that. Never had to brake so hard before..

True, we were a lot quicker coming back, hence why you kept loosing me on the straights!
But every corner I caught up quite quickly... (good for practising my late breaking)
I was impressed we all survived mind...

(good bit of controversy never hurt a conversation )

I think Sosha should stick with the Bike personally, although she was the only one brave enough to give it a go!

Boooooooooh to you.

I have to say about 5 minutes before we pulled into the layby i had only seen 3 headlights in my mirror. I assummed everyone else had stayed on the dual carriageway, but it was a nice suprise to see we were +3.

Do you mean the layby where the Ferrari was forced to come to a standstill?

I didn't see a Ferrari. I'm getting more confused as this thread develops.

Was i even on this ride?

You were up ahead with Jon, RSV/GSXR boys and Tony when you all breaked hard to pull up in the layby, the blue/blacy Ferrari had to slam it's brakes on and almost came to a standstill, Scifi and I were just behind the Ferrari.. at least I think thats what happened!

Oh...i never even saw it. I'm inclined to say it wasn't keeping the correct distance from the bike infront of it.

I did decide to pull into that layby rather late...fine for me...maybe not for those behind.

I'll be the first to admit that some of our corners were not fast - but they weren't slow either. At one point we had what looked like a Goldwing ahead of us and none of us could get past until he eventually turned off.

Now part of this was cause he was so big and wasn't doing the decent thing and letting the proper bikes past, but the rest was cause he was only a little bit slower than us through the corners which meant we couldn't use them to get passed.

Personally, if everyone had of been going faster then I think I may have had a few more 'scary' cr*p my pants moments. As it was we had a good pace and we reduced the risk of us losing one of the TV members - probably me!

Hope everyone had a good time,

Jon

Oh - and as for the crazy manouvers through the traffic on the dual carrige way.

Think that may have been my fault.

I seem to have gotten into some very bad habits from my commute into work. That manouver where I filtered between the double decker bus and a car was particularly interesting. Had to lean the bike right over to avoid the wind blast from pushing me into the car on my right!
